"Want to marry an anime? Calm down at @bluemoon.id_jkt you can make your dreams come true. You can take photos + take your waifu/husbu home, you know," wrote the Instagram account @bluemoon.id_jkt.

The term wibu itself comes from English Weebs or Weeaboo which is addressed to people who like popular culture from Japan such as anime. The wibu usually call the anime characters they like as waifu, which means wife or haisbu which means husband.

To get a wedding photo with this favorite anime or K-Pop character, you have to pay IDR 1.6 million to IDR 2.050 million. The fee includes the services of a photographer, photo session for one person in the photo studio, getting six photos that have been edited and receiving all photo files. Photo session does not include hair, makeup and dress rental.

The upload to the Instagram account @bluemoon.id_jkt was enthusiastically welcomed by netizens who were interested in trying a subtle marriage with their Korean anime characters or idols.

Confirm Wolipop

Wolipop has spoken with the owner of the Instagram account @bluemoon.id_jkt, Archie Kwa and Putri Farhan. Archie explained the concept of a smooth wedding photo with anime or K-Pop characters that he offered.

"What's unique about this package is, customers can experience a pre-wedding photo experience with their favorite characters or favorite biases. We will help from concept discussions to making wedding certificates and also provide an opportunity to experience wearing wedding clothes for customers who have never been married, " said Archie to Wolipop via email, Friday (7/10/2022).

Archie explained the initial idea for a subtle wedding photo session with an anime character. He admitted initially just to have fun with his friends.

"Initially the idea came up for fun, when a friend was taking a bridal modeling photo in the studio and then from there we joked about making a pre-wedding photo with a standing character. For our friends who have been told to get married quickly with their parents but still like fangirling with characters with different dimensions or their favorite K-pop bias," he said at length.

This photo studio service vendor, which is well-known among weeds, was founded in 2016. Putri Farhan said that her party decided to make a 'wedding halu' package after the upload was enthusiastically received by anime and K-Pop fans.

"Since one of our staff has a motto "when joking is serious", we finally tested it by making a pre-wedding photo of our friend with his favorite Vtuber character. The response we received when we previewed the photos we posted on Facebook was extraordinary. Finally we decided to open the service package because the interest of the pop culture community to take pictures like that is quite high," said Putri.

He continued, customers can experience pre-wedding photos with favorite characters or favorite biases. His team will help from photo concepts to clothing.

"We will help from concept discussions to making marriage certificates. At least this service can help realize the dreams of fanboys and fangirls to marry their favorite characters, and also provide an opportunity to experience wearing wedding clothes for customers who have never been married," continued Princess.
